ACTION IS PROUD TO RELEASE OUR NEWEST EDUCATION MATERIAL FOR PATIENTS AND CAREGIVERS FOR THE HVAD™ SYSTEM.
This innovative, kid-friendly handbook serves as an educational resource, as well as a scrapbook for patients and families to keep track of topics and milestones that occur during their HVAD journey. Since the HVAD™ System is not currently labeled for use in pediatrics, we wanted to fulfill the educational gap to ensure our patients and caregivers receive an exceptional pediatric education resource. We collaborated with clinicians from >40 pediatric heart failure centers, as well as patients and families, to create this unique resource. It is now available in e-book format, and ACTION will be sending printed copies to our centers by April 2021.
ACTION also recently launched its groundbreaking patient and caregiver education site, My ACTION Education. The site features engaging animations, infographics and articles that help patients and caregivers better understand heart failure and explore treatment options. We invite everyone to “Join the ACTION” by creating an account on the new site to learn more about the HVAD™ System, plus many other devices and treatment options available for children diagnosed with heart failure.
